Reports to: Lead Recovery Program Assistant/Property Manager
Schedule: 6:00am - 2:00pm
Rate of Pay: $18.81 - $20.40

OverviewThe Resident Manager is responsible for assisting and maintaining the program standards of the Harbor Light Center in a clean and orderly condition. This position deals with individuals and families in crises who may be under high stress.
Responsibilities- Responsible for assisting and maintaining the program standards of the Harbor Light Center.
- Follow specific program and clerical duties as well as emergency duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Treat all those entering our facility with dignity and understanding.
- Assist in implementing the rules of the program fairly and equitably.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling.
- The Resident Manager is required to live on the premises for the benefit of The Salvation Army.
- Provide overnight on-call duties when assigned.
- Assist Front Desk personnel in providing inside and outside security and safety of the building and facility population.
- Know and enforce facility rules as well as program policy and procedures.
- Direct and assist volunteers as necessary.
- Assist in answering telephones, providing information and referral for social service programs.
- Assist in performing program registration and necessary paperwork.
- Work on many projects at once with interruptions, multiple deadlines, and competing priorities.
- Maintain ongoing professional relationships in all interpersonal contacts.
- Maintain absolute confidentiality in personal and professionally sensitive matters.
- Preform urinalysis tests as well as breathalyzer tests for residents upon entering the facility.
- Assist with room checks/searches.
- Maintain applicable record-keeping and complete appropriate forms.
- Assist in transportation of residents or daily business needs, including transportation to Veterans as per the VA contract.
- Attend all staff meetings as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be familiar with alcohol and/or drug treatment program, education and/or work experience in human services preferred
- Ability to speak, read and write the English language
Skills and Abilities
Cannot participate in any form of substance abuse or show evidence of abuse while performing duties or while present on The Salvation Army property. Must show respect for other employees, associates, clients, and the goals and objectives of The Salvation Army.
- Driving
- A minimum age of 21 (for insurance provision) and possession of a valid in-state driver’s license is required.
- An MVR will be processed every year in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies.
- Background Check
- Biennial background check (every two years) required for continued employment in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies.
- Must possess initiative, adaptability, and responsibility to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain a professional level of confidentiality in handling business matters.
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Physical Requirements
- Software:
Microsoft Word and Excel required;
Microsoft Office; working knowledge of integrated database applications; ability to learn new software with basic training. - Physical Requirements:
Ability to maneuver; stay in a stationary position; grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead; operate telephone; lift up to 25 pounds; access and produce information from computer; understand written information; able to perform essential duties with or without accommodation.
