Position Summary:
Provide direct nursing services, mental health assessments, and treatment to the people we serve with severe and persistent mental illness. You will obtain, record, and communicate important clinical information, and provide clinical services within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Psychiatric Nurse I (LPN) - $30.12 - $31.62/hour
- Psychiatric Nurse II (RN) - $39.06 - $40.56/hour
- Awake Overnight Differential - $3/hour
- Float Differential - $2.00/hr
- Language Differential - $2.50/hr for bilingual proficiency in Spanish & ASL
The posted range represents the full hiring range. Offers will not exceed this range, the majority of candidates are placed near the midpoint based on experience and qualifications.
Job Duties & Functions:
- Provide psychological problem identification, crisis interventions, and similar services to assigned patients.
- Provide limited case management services to people we serve as needed.
- Assist consumers with psychological and social development and rehabilitation.
- Coordinate consumer’s use of other Well Power programs and outside community resources.
- Coordinate medical care and intervention with other clinical staff and psychiatrist(s).
- Draw blood for lab work for patients.
- Periodically provide community injections.
- Administer medications including intramuscular medications.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records consistent with Well Power standards.
- Participate in team/organization meetings, in‑services, and supervisory sessions as required.
- Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Psychiatric Nurse I:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Licensed as a Practical Nurse in good standing with the Board of Nursing of the State of Colorado.
- Experience:
1-3 years of experience working with patients with a serious and persistent mental illness (preferred).
- Psychiatric Nurse II:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado. License must be in good standing.
- Experience:
Minimum two years nursing experience; experience in a behavioral health or outpatient clinic (preferred).

Work Location: This is an on‑site position at 4353 E Colfax Ave, Denver, CO.

Hours:
Well Power's Crisis Services is looking for a Nurse who is looking for a full‑time night shift position and would like some flexibility around their schedule. This position provides a unique opportunity to work full‑time between two crisis programs, the Denver Walk‑In Crisis Center and the Behavioral Health Solutions Center. In this position, the employee has first‑priority in selecting three open shifts per week between the two sites.
Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, repetitive hand/finger motions, manual dexterity. Requires fine motor skills required for precise clinical procedures. Requires visual and auditory acuity to observe patient behavior and respond to alarms and calls. Requires a capacity to handle emotionally charged situations and maintain professional boundaries. Requires critical thinking and problem‑solving skills for diagnosis and treatment planning, and to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing patient needs.
