Under the direction of the Laboratory Medical and Administrative Director and the Pathologists, the Billing Specialist holds the primary responsibility of oversight for the following:

• Send out Pathology testing and billing reconciliation
• Test Clinical Laboratory and billing reconciliation
• Enter results of all Clinical Pathology ancillary testing
• Order supplies for Anatomic Pathology, and Morgue areas
• Act as Anatomic Pathology physician advocate
• Assist staff Pathologists with data gathering and preparation for Tumor Boards and meetings
• Perform administrative and secretarial duties and other duties as assigned

• Medical Billing Technology Certification preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Course in medical terminology or work experience to produce an equivalent level of expertise.
• Five years of clerical office experience.
• Prefer healthcare experience including laboratory and/or pathology knowledge and billing background.
