Clinical Social Worker in Denver Developmental FX

Developmental FX (DFX) is a multidisciplinary clinic and resource center based in Denver. Grounded by our Therapy that fits® philosophy, we improve understanding and delivery of care for those with neurodevelopmental and mental health challenges. Our mission is to prepare children with developmental differences for a bright future of engaged belonging by equipping them, their families, therapists, and teachers via innovative programming in Colorado and around the world.

Join our growing multi-faceted nonprofit in a newly added Clinical Social Worker role and serve as a vital member of the administration and client care team, providing supportive services and treatment for families (parents, siblings, and family systems) and acting as a resource for the team to ensure wrap-around care and a clear path forward for each child and family. As a Clinical Social Worker you will play a critical role on our multidisciplinary team in addressing the mental, emotional, and social needs of our socioeconomically and racially diverse patients (50% of our pediatric clients qualify for Medicaid and over 40% identify as BIPOC).

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct mental health assessments and provide individual, family, and group therapy
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Intake Coordinator, Psychologist, OT, and SLP Therapists, and clinic administration
  • Provide case management services to clients as needed
  • Assist clients with social and emotional development
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate and up-to-date records
  • Provide resource navigation support to patients and their families
  • Coordinate clients’ use of other programs and outside community resources, utilizing care mapping to support and guide this effort
  • Organize and represent DFX at on-site events, such as DFX Dialogues
  • Represent DFX at health fairs and other community events
  • Maintain ethical and professional standards and accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with licensing requirements
  • Participate in team/department meetings, in-services, and supervisory sessions as required
What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW);
    Current license as a LCSW in the State of Colorado, highly preferred
  • Open to supporting social worker in process of obtaining LCSW; supervision and oversight needed for them to accomplish licensure provided with shift in salary commensurate with contract supervision costs
  • Experience in clinical social work in mental health and/or educational settings.
  • Multidisciplinary team experience helpful
  • Strong understanding of current mental health practices and regulations
  • Experience with pediatric care and family support
  • Understanding of neurodiversity and complex needs
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse patient population and needs
  • Project warmth and care in client interactions
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations effectively
  • Bilingual capabilities (Spanish/English) preferred
Skills and Competencies
  • Knowledge of methods of psychotherapy including early childhood mental health and development
  • Experience with interpersonal neurobiological and family systems approaches
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately
  • Familiarity with the DSM V and diagnostic techniques
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed and trauma-responsive care principles/practices
