American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience performing general and vascular ultrasound procedures for a night shift travel contract at an acute care hospital in Denver, CO.
Details- Hospital-based ultrasound department
- Scope of practice includes all general and vascular ultrasound procedures except ABIs, segmental pressures, echo, and breast
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday overnight)
- 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
- Epic EMR — experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience, with at least 1 year in the specific specialty
- Associate's degree required
- ARDMS registry required
- BLS certification required — must be AHA and must not expire prior to start date
- RVT certification
- License required if applicable — no pending licenses accepted
- Proficiency with sterile technique and infection prevention practices
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer usage
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- 2 references required for consideration
- Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician imaging orders, including patient positioning, immobilization, and image acquisition
- Submit required images and clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation and evaluate image quality
- Coordinate ultrasound examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care
- Assist with patient transfers as part of the examination process
- Maintain and appropriately utilize department supplies and equipment
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
