- Organizing and maintaining the professional atmosphere of the Department
- Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, & all visitors
- General cash handling
- Serving, bussing, set up and strike for events
- Emphasis on safety and sanitation
- Assist with other duties as necessary

- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Required Qualifications
- Current DU undergraduate or graduate student enrolled for the academic year.
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours
- Ability to work over breaks, including Winter Break 2026
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience serving, events or bartending.
- Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management or Daniels College of Business major
Students will be working:
- In a banquet event setting on campus in the Joy Burns Center; within classes and conferences rooms, in addition to interactions inside of an operating commercial kitchen (exposure to some heat & cold, slippery walking surfaces, and some noise).
- On Flexible schedule with class-work and time as a priority
- With a requirement of availability on nights and weekends
Physical Activities
- Physical work and walking across campus
- Ability to stand for multiple hours at a time
- Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25 pounds occasionally
Compensation
- Event Staff- $19.29/hr
- Manager in Training (MIT) (by promotion only)- $21/hr
- Manager (SAM)(by promotion only)- $23/hr
