Members of our Banquet Staff work under the direction of the Director of Legacy to complete a variety of tasks relating to the events hosted at The Legacy. If you are looking for a hands‑on job with lots of variety, this is the position for you!
As a Banquet Operations Lead, you will oversee teams of Banquet/Event Staff and assist them as they complete tasks relating to events hosted at The Legacy. Assignments may include event set-up/break- down, cleaning of equipment (tables, chairs, stage, etc.). Team Leads will also be tasked with operating heavy equipment (tractors, forklifts, skid steers, etc.) as needed to fulfil event needs. No two days will be the same!
Reports to: Director of Legacy
What You'll Do- Primarily responsible for the physical set‑up and breakdown of banquet and event spaces.
- Lead and train banquet/event set‑up team members
- Ensure rooms are set up according to event specifications
- Manage timelines for set‑ups, room flips, and breakdowns
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organisational standards
- Inspect completed set‑ups for accuracy and quality
- Communicate event needs and issues to leadership
- Support efficient and professional event execution
- Assist with inventory, equipment handling, and operation improvements
- Maintain a clean, professional and well‑groomed appearance at all times

RequirementsWhat You Need
- The ideal candidate will have previous experience in event set-up/break- down. Candidates must be comfortable leading teams of diverse people.
- This individual should have prior experience with banquet operations
-preferably in an upscale/luxury setting - a plus, or be open to learning how to do so on the job. - A clean MVR is required, and an active Driver’s License is strongly preferred.
- To thrive in this position, candidates must be able to be on their feet for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds. Candidates should be comfortable with working indoors and outside in all weather conditions. Must be able to communicate fluently in English, verbally and in writing.
- As our schedule is based on the events booked in The Legacy, scheduling flexibility is a must. Events may require early morning hours, late evening/overnight hours, holiday hours, and will definitely require weekend hours. Candidates should be prepared to work up to 12‑hour shifts during events.
