Floor Manager

The floor manager at Beckon is the daily, front-of-house operational role that ensures guests receive excellent service and the shift runs smoothly. As the main link between the staff and guests, you are responsible for managing the dining room "floor" during active service hours.

• Menu Management:
  Coordinating dietary information with the chefs and printing daily expediter sheets and menus.
• Shift Management:
  Arranging pre-service details for the staff that clearly outline the expectations for that evening's service. Running pre-shift meetings, assigning server sections, and managing guest seating and pacing.
• Staff Supervision:
  Monitoring front-of-house staff performance, handling scheduling, and resolving interpersonal conflicts
• Customer Service:
  Greeting client, managing reservations, and handling client complaints or requests with diplomacy.
• Financial Oversight: Reconciling finances at the end of the night, auditing POS system entries, and tracking shift labor costs.

• Problem-Solving:
  The ability to make fast, calm decisions about, well, everything.
• Communication:
  Acting as the bridge between front-of-house and back-of-house. And always able to confidently and professionally talk to clients.
• Stamina:
  True, unrestrained commitment to this role requires long days and the ability to be equally as effective at 11:30 pm as you are at 11:30 am.
