Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records and documentation to ensure compliance.
- Gather and process weekly timesheets and payroll requests for accurate payroll preparation.
- Review payroll adjustments to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee payroll processing to ensure adherence to internal policies and state and federal regulations.
- Provide leadership and strategic oversight for a payroll team, ensuring smooth operations and compliance.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills and ERP systems knowledge.
- Demonstrate experience managing a team of two or more payroll professionals.
- Possess strong experience with prevailing wage laws and multi-state compliance.
- Show familiarity with Vista by Viewpoint payroll software.
- Have at least 7 years of experience in payroll management or related roles.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Exhibit excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Show adaptability to changing priorities and the ability to work independently while taking initiative.
- Stay informed on current state and federal wage and hour laws to ensure compliance.
- Administer garnishment processes efficiently, including child support, IRS levies, and state-imposed deductions.
