Position: Compensation Manager (49784)

Manager of Compensation & Recognition – Direct Hire

Salary: $100,000–$110,000 + 10% annual bonus potential + $80/month phone stipend

About the Role

Lakeshore Talent is seeking a hands‑on Manager of Compensation & Recognition to design, administer, and continuously improve compensation, bonus, commission, incentive, and recognition programs. This role ensures pay practices are competitive, equitable, compliant, and clearly understood, while serving as the in‑house subject‑matter expert and trusted advisor to leaders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own salary structures, job leveling, benchmarking, and pay equity analyses
  • Lead annual merit cycles, promotions, and compensation adjustments
  • Design and administer bonus, incentive, and commission programs
  • Manage recognition programs, including spot awards, service awards, and peer‑to‑peer initiatives
  • Model compensation costs, forecast bonus pools, and develop dashboards/reports
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, HR, and business leaders on pay decisions and audits
  • Ensure compliance with FLSA, IRS, wage/hour, and pay equity regulations
  • Drive change management, manager education, and continuous process improvement
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in compensation/total rewards
  • Proven experience with merit, bonus, commission, or incentive programs
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills
  • HR certifications preferred (CCP, CEBS, SHRM‑SCP, SPHR)
  • Experience partnering cross‑functionally with Finance and HR leadership
