The HR Business Analyst (Workday HCM Focus) is an early-career HR professional who supports day-to-day people operations while serving as a trusted partner to managers and employees. This role has a strong emphasis on Workday HCM administration, optimization, and data quality
, combined with foundational HR business partnering responsibilities.

This position is ideal for someone looking to grow into a senior HR Business Partner or HRIS role while gaining hands‑on experience across the employee lifecycle, HR operations, and system‑enabled HR processes

THE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • HR Business Partnering & Employee Support
    • Serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee lifecycle questions.
    • Provide guidance to managers on performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and performance improvement plans.
    • Support employee relations matters by gathering information, documenting issues, and escalating complex cases to senior HR leadership.
    • Partner with leaders to support onboarding, employee engagement, and change initiatives at the team level.
  • Workday HCM Administration & Optimization
    • Partner with IT to ensure
    • Administer and maintain employee data in Workday HCM
      , ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.
    • Process employee lifecycle transactions in Workday, including hires, job changes, compensation updates, transfers, and terminations.
    • Support Workday business processes related to onboarding, performance cycles, benefits events, and organizational changes.
    • Troubleshoot basic Workday HCM issues and partner with HRIS, Payroll, or external vendors for resolution as needed.
    • Assist with the continuous improvement of Workday processes, documentation, and user guidance.
  • Leave Administration & Compliance Support
    • Support the administration of employee leave requests (FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, parental, military, and personal leave) through Workday.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation related to leave and accommodation requests.
    • Partner with employees, managers, and vendors to ensure timely communication and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
    • Lead audits, reporting, and compliance reviews as needed.
    • Create and automate custom reports as needed
  • HR Operations & Reporting
    • Support HR reporting and analytics, including headcount, turnover, and compliance‑related reports.
    • Assist with required government reporting (e.g., EEO1, ACA) under the direction of senior HR leadership.
    • Partner cross‑functionally with Payroll, Benefits, and Finance to ensure smooth downstream processing of HR transactions.
    • Support payroll review processes as a backup resource when needed.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of industry‑related projects.
    • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals.
    • Participate in meetings and provide input on project progress.
    • Conduct research and analysis to support project initiatives.
    • Prepare reports and presentations as required.
