Learning & Development Partner

The Learning & Development Partner works closely with leaders, managers, and employees to design, deliver, and evaluate learning solutions that support organizational effectiveness and employee growth. This position manages training programs, facilitates workshops, consults with departments on learning needs, and contributes to leadership development, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate is an experienced learning professional who can independently manage projects, facilitate engaging learning experiences, and use data to improve program effectiveness.

What You Will Do:

  • Learning Program Design & Delivery:
    Design, develop, and facilitate instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning programs. Create engaging learning materials using adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Manage learning programs from planning through evaluation. Support organization-wide initiatives related to employee development and organizational change.
  • Consultation & Partnership:
    Recommend learning solutions aligned with organizational priorities. Partner with HR colleagues to support talent development initiatives. Conduct learning needs assessments with departments and leaders.
  • Leadership & Professional Development:
    Coordinate management and leadership development programs for supervisors and emerging leaders. Support onboarding and orientation programs for new employees. Develop resources that promote continuous learning and career development.
  • Learning Technology & Administration:
    Maintain learning records and curriculum within the Learning Management System
    - Precipio. Coordinate program logistics, registration, communications, and evaluations. Support implementation of new learning technologies and digital learning resources.
  • Program Evaluation:
    Collect and analyze participant feedback and learning metrics. Measure program effectiveness and recommend improvements. Prepare reports and dashboards for HR and campus leadership.

Qualifications You Already Possess (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Three years of professional experience in learning and development, talent development, organizational development, or training.
  • Experience managing learning programs or projects.
  • Experience designing and delivering engaging presentations, workshops, and training programs for adult learners using adult learning principles and instructional best practices for diverse audiences.
  • Experience using a Learning Management System (e.g., Precipio, Canvas, Cornerstone, Workday Learning).
  • Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualification to Possess (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Master's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Adult Education, or a related field.
  • Three years of professional experience in learning and development, talent development, organizational development, or training to include:
    • Proficiency with Percipio – Skill Soft or similar learning technology platforms.
    • Demonstrated experience applying instructional design principles and models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
    • Experience working in higher education or another complex organization.
    • Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, ATD CPTD, ATD APTD, or Prosci Change Management.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design.
    • Knowledge of instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, etc.).
    • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
    • Excellent consulting and relationship-building abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to evaluate learning outcomes and use data for continuous improvement.
    • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in learning design.
    • Customer-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
