Reports To:

Sr. Director of Human Resources

The HR Generalist (People Operations) is the operational engine of HR service delivery. This role manages the “front door” HR intake process, executes HR transactions, supports benefits administration and reporting, and provides payroll support/backup coverage through documented processes and cross‑training with Payroll Manager. • Provide timely employee and manager support; ensure requests are tracked through closure and escalations are routed appropriately.
  • Process employee lifecycle transactions (new hires, status changes, transfers, terminations) according to established approvals and audit standards.
  • Maintain HR documentation, acknowledgments, and personnel file organization.
  • Support benefits administration: eligibility changes, life events, employee questions, carrier escalation coordination.
  • Assist with census/eligibility audits and recurring HR reporting (headcount, turnover, onboarding completion, basic dashboards).
  • Serve as trained payroll backup in partnership with the Payroll Manager, providing coverage as needed for payroll processing so payroll continuity is protected during PTO/leave/unplanned absence.
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics for newly acquired employees (data collection, document completion, training scheduling, Day 1 readiness).
  • Other duties as assigned.
