Responsible for leading and overseeing all of the firm’s attorney recruiting efforts at every level, including entry-level, lateral, and partner hires, in conjunction with the CTO, Managing Partners, Department Heads, and Practice Group Leaders. In addition, this position oversees the integration of new attorney hires into the firm and provides general oversight of the firm’s associates, including conducting regular one-on-one meetings with all associates, monitoring workload and satisfaction, and escalating concerns or needs for development as appropriate.
EssentialFunctions
- Lead and manage all attorney recruiting efforts at every level, including entry-level, lateral, and partner hires
- Develop and execute recruiting strategies in conjunction with the CTO, Managing Partners, Department Heads, and Practice Group Leaders
- Develop and maintain relationships with candidate sourcing channels, including outside recruiting firms, law schools, and judges who regularly send the firm judicial clerk applicants
- Manage the full recruiting lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding
- Oversee the applicant tracking process and seek ways to improve its efficiency and accuracy on an ongoing basis
- Oversee the integration process for all new hires to ensure a smooth transition into the firm
- Serve as the primary point of contact for associate oversight, including conducting regular one-on-one meetings with all firm associates
- Identify and elevate associate performance or other concerns, working closely to address them with the Professional Development & Recruiting Manager
- Develop and manage recruiting and retention policies
- Maintain the firm’s offer letter templates and search firm agreements, and oversee annual compliance review of those materials in coordination with the General Counsel, Ethics Counsel, and Employment Counsel
- Participate in strategy related to associate compensation and bonus programs
- Oversee and implement the PDR department budget, in conjunction with the CTO and the Professional Development & Recruiting Manager
