Infrastructure Manager

The Manager of Infrastructure and Networking is a senior, hands-on technology leader responsible for the stability, security, and evolution of enterprise infrastructure, networking, telecommunications, and retail technology platforms. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across administrative offices, distributed program locations, and revenue-generating retail environments. The ideal candidate blends strong people leadership with deep technical expertise, ensuring resilient, secure, and cost-conscious systems that support a mission-driven organization.

• Own the overall infrastructure and network strategy, architecture, and day-to-day operations across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments
• Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise and retail networks, including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, firewalls, routing, switching, and VPN solutions
• Provide technical and operational leadership for retail technology systems, including POS platforms, payment processing devices, and store connectivity
• Oversee telecommunications systems including VoIP platforms, conferencing solutions, mobile devices, and carrier services
• Act as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure, networking, telecom, and retail system issues, remaining actively hands-on when needed
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security for offices, remote users, and retail locations
• Design and maintain disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies, with emphasis on revenue-impacting and customer-facing systems
• Establish and enforce cybersecurity standards across infrastructure and networks, including patching, access controls, and vulnerability remediation
• Lead documentation efforts including technical standards, system configurations, network diagrams, and operational procedures
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and costs; optimize vendor relationships and contracts to maximize uptime and responsible use of resources
• Manage and mentor a small infrastructure and networking team, setting priorities, developing talent, and maintaining service quality in a lean environment
• Partner with vendors and service providers, including ISPs, cloud providers, POS vendors, telecom carriers, and managed service partners

• 5+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure, networking, telecommunications, and/or retail technology environments
• Proven experience leading small technical teams while remaining deeply hands-on
• Strong expertise in cloud and hybrid platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar)
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise networking, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN technologies
• Experience supporting VoIP systems, telecom carriers, and mobile device management
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with day-to-day technical execution
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
• Relevant certifications preferred (Cisco, Microsoft, AWS/Azure, VoIP, ITIL)
