Backed by a top-tier private equity firm, this is a unique and high-impact opportunity to take the helm as the Director of Cybersecurity. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will drive information security strategy, governance, and operations across a rapidly expanding organization in the United States.

We are seeking a proven leader with deep expertise not only in building a robust Information Security Program from the ground up but also in the strategic deployment of best-in‑class tools. This role requires a professional comfortable partnering with external security firms and integrators to rapidly harden our overall security posture at scale, with a critical focus on the high-volume integration of mid‑market acquisitions into our standardized platform.

In This Role, You Will
  • M&A & Integration Leadership: Own the security strategy and execution for integrating newly acquired mid‑market companies, standardizing their security controls and platforms.
  • Program &

    Roadmap:

    Define and execute the comprehensive cybersecurity roadmap aligned to NIST CSF 2.0 & CIS Controls.
  • Security Operations (Sec Ops) Excellence: Oversee all aspects of modern Sec Ops, including SOC/MDR operations, vulnerability management, threat‑mitigation actions, incident response, and DR/BCP readiness.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with external vendors and partners to deploy and manage a suite of best‑in‑class security tools, accelerating the enhancement of our security architecture.
  • Governance & Compliance: Govern third‑party risk, security tooling, and architecture standards, ensuring rigorous compliance with regulatory requirements (PCI, CJIS, CPRA/CCPA/CPA, etc.).
  • Security Culture: Champion a security‑first culture across the organization, delivering measurable improvements in the enterprise cyber risk posture.
What You Bring
  • Deep Info Sec Leadership: 8+ years of progressive Information Security leadership experience.
  • M&A Integration: Proven success building and integrating security programs in M&A‑intensive, high‑growth environments.
  • Modern Cyber Tech Stack: Hands‑on oversight of implementing modern security solutions.
    Ideally, direct experience with platforms like Ninja One, Adaptive, and Rapid7 is highly preferred.
  • Sec Ops Command: Strong, demonstrable background in leading Security Operations, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • GCR Expertise: Strong command of governance, risk, compliance, and cloud security architecture.
  • Certifications: Industry certifications such as CISSP / CISM are strongly preferred.
  • Leadership Qualities: Influential communication, strong business‑alignment skills, and an ability to lead through change and build trust across all organizational levels.
