Your ImpactAs an Analyst, Geoscience Data, you will support Newmont’s exploration and project planning efforts by ensuring geoscience data is accurate, organized, and accessible. Your work will strengthen data quality, improve workflows, and help teams make informed technical decisions across global projects.
As Part of Our Team, You Will- Manage and maintain drilling and geoscience databases (ac Quire/SQL format).
- Perform ad‑hoc database extractions (SQL, CSV, MDB, Leapfrog, Vulcan) as requested by geoscientists.
- Configure and monitor automated data imports and exports.
- Conduct data quality checks and resolve inconsistencies.
- Support report generation and data visualizations for project teams.
- Prepare workflows to drive consistency across data processing tasks.
- Work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams on data‑related initiatives.
- Ensure data integrity through adherence to standards, governance, and best practices.
- Degree in Geoscience, Data Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience with SQL and data analysis;
Python and Power BI proficiency preferred. - Familiarity with SSMS database structures, drilling data, or ac Quire is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot data issues. Ability to collaborate, ask questions, seek clarity, and follow procedures.
- High attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently, manage workload, and escalates issues when needed.
- You will operate as an individual contributor within the Technical Services function, supporting sites and teams in the Americas.
- Work includes database management, virtual collaboration, and cross‑functional engagement across multiple time zones.
- The environment is structured, data‑driven, and safety‑focused, aligned with Newmont’s standards and values.
- The preferred location for candidates is near our corporate headquarters, in Denver, Colorado; however highly qualified candidates near our regional offices, or any of our site locations, will be considered.
- Collaboration and interaction are expected with teams across the global, regional, and site organization as well as across other service and operational areas of Newmont across multiple time zones.
- The listed salary range applies to positions based in Colorado. Compensation may vary for candidates hired in other locations.
