Location: Remote (Hybrid preferred in Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN)
Start Date: Targeted no later than March 1, 2026
Duration: 12-month contract with strong likelihood of extension (estimated 18 months)
Position SummaryThe Project Manager III will lead a strategic enterprise initiative to replace the existing platform and implement a modern Content Management System (CMS). This role requires a senior-level project leader with strong vendor management experience and the ability to operate in a hybrid Project Manager and Product Owner capacity when needed. This position supports the IT Customer Care organization and plays a critical role in delivering customer-facing technology solutions that improve digital experiences and operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will lead matrixed teams consisting of internal stakeholders and vendor partners while ensuring successful delivery across scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
- Lead complex, high-visibility enterprise projects from initiation through implementation and stabilization.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Manage day-to-day execution of project scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables.
- Ensure alignment between project outcomes and IT Customer Care business objectives.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Lead implementation and migration activities for modern CMS platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, or similar solutions.
- Coordinate integration efforts between enterprise applications, customer-facing platforms, and vendor solutions.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather, refine, and prioritize requirements.
- Serve as primary point of contact for external vendors and service providers.
- Manage vendor performance, contractual deliverables, and service-level expectations.
- Lead and coordinate work across matrixed teams consisting of internal technology teams, business stakeholders, and third-party partners.
- Facilitate collaboration and resolve cross-team dependencies to maintain project momentum.
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies tailored to technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
- Lead recurring status meetings, governance reviews, and executive updates.
- Provide transparent reporting on project progress, risks, budget, and performance metrics.
- Establish communication expectations and maintain stakeholder alignment throughout project execution.
- Support backlog management, user story development, and sprint planning activities as needed.
- Assist with prioritization of product features and enhancements based on business value and customer impact.
- Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical delivery.
- 5–7+ years of experience managing complex enterprise IT projects.
- Proven experience leading Content Management System implementation or migration initiatives.
- Experience working with modern CMS platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, or similar technologies.
- Strong vendor management and third-party delivery coordination experience.
- Demonstrated success working within matrixed organizational environments.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and executive audiences.
- Strong project planning, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience functioning in hybrid Project Manager / Product Owner roles.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Experience delivering customer-facing digital platforms or customer care technology solutions.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CSM, CSPO, or equivalent are preferred but not required.
- Experience in large enterprise environments is preferred; industry background is flexible.
- Leads cross-functional project teams composed of internal resources and vendor partners.
- No direct supervisory responsibilities; requires strong leadership through influence and collaboration.
