Lead and deliver a targeted cleanup and standardization of the existing Power BI ecosystem including reports, datasets, dataflows, refresh processes, and governance. This role will also coordinate and guide team members to execute a prioritized improvement backlog and establish a sustainable BI operating model moving forward.

Why This Role Exists

The current Power BI environment requires rationalization and structure. • Implement consistent naming conventions, folder structures, and documentation standards
  • Apply standardized DAX formatting and centralized shared measures
  • Introduce standardized report themes and UX elements
  • Fix dataset and dataflow refreshes and improve performance where needed
  • Governance and Operating Model
  • Define workspace strategy including Dev, Test, and Prod
  • Establish roles, permissions, and consistent RLS or OLS approaches
  • Set up change control processes, deployment pipelines, and PBIX source control
  • Clarify ownership of datasets, reports, and refresh responsibilities
  • Team Leadership and Enablement
  • Run standups, manage sprint execution, and unblock team members
  • Coach analysts on modeling, DAX, and performance tuning best practices
  • Produce runbooks, playbooks, and complete handover documentation
Key Outcomes and Success Metrics
  • Priority reports load in under 5 to 10 seconds
  • Scheduled refresh success rate at 99 percent or higher for Tier 1 content
  • One certified dataset per major subject area with reduced redundancy
  • Fully documented Dev, Test, Prod work spaces with clear RBAC and RLS
