Role And Responsibilities
This role is responsible for leading a project team in delivering a solution to the client using the appropriate business measurements and terms and conditions for the project according to the project charter, project agreement or contract. They have overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management.
They are responsible for managing all project resources, including subcontractors, and for establishing an effective communication plan with the project team and the client. They provide day to day direction to the project team and regular project status updates and requests for support to project stakeholders.
Analytical Problem Solving:
- Recognizes and addresses complex functional problems.
- Anticipates potential problems and trends to inform proactive decisions.
- Integrates multiple data sources to conduct thorough analyses, used as basis to develop and implement solutions.
- Streamlines complex workflows by simplifying task management and improving interdepartmental coordination, leading to faster project completion.
- Collaborates on cross-functional projects to solve complex challenges.
- Applies new and emerging tools and technologies to drive innovative solutions.
- Drives initiatives to automate key processes, reducing manual effort and minimizing errors across the team.
- Exhibits autonomy in leading initiatives beyond department, influencing project outcomes, and driving significant contributions to organizational success.
- Takes the initiative to make informed decisions regarding project direction, resource allocation, and timelines with limited supervision.
- Evaluates potential risks and benefits independently, demonstrating sound judgment in choosing the best course of action.
- Leads key projects, or manages department(s) (country / Geo).
- Translates functional plans into operational processes at department level and leads execution on short to mid-term (up to 3 years).
- Brings fresh points of view, informed by a thorough understanding of a client's business, industry, market, and technology.
- Recognised specialist of one or several area.
- Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect department or multiple disciplines.
- Advanced understanding of business line and a growing understanding of the overall company and the competitive environment.
- Exhibits strong communication skills, facilitating open dialogue and welcoming divergent viewpoints.
- Practices the principles of successful negotiation under supervision or approved situations, advises other professionals based on deep functional knowledge.
- Develops and maintains collaborative relationships across departments, utilizing group dynamics to enhance team performance.
- Supervises junior professionals, providing mentorship/coaching and fostering growth of their career and skills.
- Proficient in utilizing advanced digital tools and AI technologies to drive collaboration and enhance communication within teams and across departments.
Bachelor's Degree
Additional Skills, Competencies & Requirements- 3-4 years of experience functioning as a functional/technical BA. Experience includes development of requirements, defining business rules, and communicating with technical counterparts to confirm alignment of technical requirements. Experience includes working within the Agile framework to confirm acceptance criteria of stories within the backlog with the product owner function.
- 4-8 years of experience running projects valued on average between $300k - $2M. Majority of experience directly in software development, data migration, cloud solutions and cloud infrastructure. Azure experience is a plus.
- Average team size ranges between 4-10 people.
- Includes mix of both onshore/offshore teams.
- Risk identification, triage and management.
- Feature/backlog/release prioritization, leading backlog discussions with BA/technical representation to confirm alignment.
- Ensuring skill alignment to required tasks within team.
- Budget and reporting communication.
Preferred at least 3 years of working in Azure Dev Ops environment to manage projects, deploying CI/CD pipelines and managing automated builds/testing.
Deep experience in Agile (Scrum, Kanban), Waterfall, Hybrid.
Power user of current version MSFT products, including PPT, Visio, Word and Excel.
