Job Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Global Sales Compensation (GSC) Operations team seeks a Sales Compensation Systems Analyst to support the day‑to‑day administration of the Varicent ICM sales compensation system for sales incentive‑eligible employees worldwide. The role drives operational process improvements in compensation, quota management, compensation adjustments, quarterly payouts, compensation plan administration, and program tool scalability.

This position works with global business owners in HR, Legal, Sales, Finance, Sales Operations, Revenue, Segmentation, Product & Technology, and Business Intelligence to ensure proper plan design, calculation, delivery, and execution of sales commissions. Cross‑team coordination, time management, and excellent communication skills are essential.

• Validate data, quantify impact through data analysis, and communicate proposed resolutions and timelines to leadership.
• Identify operational risks and engage necessary stakeholders to frame issues and desired end states.
• Communicate effectively with technical teams on root causes of issues and business requirements.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for process and system updates.
• Assist with distribution of incentive compensation plans, including plan set up, quota shifts, revenue adjustments, etc.
• Ensure all compensation methodologies, policies, procedures, and governance are followed.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as HR, Tax, and Legal to maintain compensation methodologies, policies, and procedures in production.
• Support the global quarterly commission payout process, including manual compensation adjustments, calculations, and approval process.
• Create mechanisms to improve process efficiency.
• Use strong Excel and SQL skills.

• 4 years of using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze large data sets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience using sales CRM tools such as Salesforce.
• Experience working in a sales organization with sales data, processes, and policies.
• Experience developing and implementing systems and tools for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, or sales force automation.

• Experience working within a high‑growth technology company.
• 3 years of finance, business management, and sales operations experience.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
