Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced front-end web developer to unify, align, and maximize the entire CDEC web presence following United States Web Design System (USWDS) principles. The role focuses on UI/UX, ADA, WCAG compliance, and continuous improvement of the agency’s digital portfolio.

What you’ll be doing:
- Keep the CDEC digital portfolio accessible, online, and functional at all times.
- Manage the overall health of the digital portfolio through UI/UX metrics and monitoring.
- Address site performance issues by diagnosing and debugging problems.
- Serve as the primary authority on website accessibility per WCAG and maintain compliance.
- Ensure alignment with BITS, OIT, USWDS, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with Business Operations and BITS leadership to support web operations and infrastructure.
- Lead operational efforts to identify and remedy UI/UX issues with tactical execution.
- Advocate an Agile, iterative approach for all web operations, prioritizing speed while avoiding security or WCAG violations.
- Measure, analyze, and respond to front‑end health metrics of all CDEC websites.
- Develop and maintain the CDEC website backlog using user stories and personas.
- Collaborate closely with the Product team and back‑end developers to align decisions and release notes.
- Lead various in‑scope projects that advance the BITS vision of rationalization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications- Four (4) years of full‑time professional experience as a webmaster, web engineer, web developer, or web architect.
- At least two (2) years of experience with enterprise‑level content management systems (CMS).
- At least one (1) year of experience managing ADA and WCAG compliance.
- Or a bachelor’s degree in business, software, or technology with the above experience requirements.
- Direct experience with technology operations and product teams.
- Complete fluency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with enterprise‑level SaaS, Confluence, JIRA, HCM, LMS, and CRM platforms.
- Experience supporting system integrations of cloud platforms, SaaS, HCM, LMS, or CRM including SSO.
- Experience in unification efforts to streamline, standardize, and rationalize websites.
- Experience implementing mobile‑forward, green digital design principles.
- Experience with modernizing a digital portfolio for artificial intelligence optimization.
- Additional related education on a year‑for‑year basis may substitute for experience.
