May 31, 2026. Amazon Web Services is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to support healthcare provider customers migrating Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to AWS. The role requires experienced technologists who can partner with customers, AWS Sales, and other AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address healthcare provider business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.
- In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS for Epic EHR workloads.
- Ensure success in building and migrating Epic production, alternate production, IRE, and integrated application environments on the AWS platform.
- Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS for Epic workloads and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
- Conduct one‑to‑few and one‑to‑many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.
- Partner with Systems Integrator (SI) partners to enable technical delivery of Epic migrations, including architecture reviews, enablement sessions, and ongoing escalation support.
- Capture and share best‑practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community, authoring or contributing to AWS customer‑facing publications such as whitepapers and other reusable content.
- Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within hospital systems (CTOs, CIOs, VP Infrastructure) to enable them to be cloud advocates.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support.
- 10+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent.
- Experience communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences and at C‑level, including training, workshops, and publications.
- 5+ years of experience with Epic EHR systems, including architecture, deployment, or operational support of Epic environments (production, DR, Cogito, MyChart, or integrated applications).
- Epic certification(s) in one or more modules (e.g., Epic Hosting, Bridges, Cogito, MyChart).
- Experience designing or migrating large‑scale healthcare workloads to public cloud (AWS preferred).
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HITRUST) and their application to cloud architectures.
- Experience working with healthcare SI partners on delivery engagements.
