Position Summary
A mid-level QA Engineer (Web Portal) ensures the quality and functionality of web applications and portals. This role requires expertise in software QA methodologies with a focus on web applications. Key responsibilities include designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to deliver reliable web solutions.
Responsibilities
* Design and execute test plans for web portals.
* Perform manual and automated functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
* Document and track defects using bug tracking tools like JIRA.
* Analyze requirements for testability.
* Collaborate with teams to clarify requirements.
* Work with CI/CD pipelines and automate tests.
* Monitor test results and report quality metrics.
* Assist in troubleshooting production issues.
* Stay updated on web QA trends.
* Contribute to codebase improvement through testing.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
* 3+ years of web portal QA experience.
* Strong understanding of QA methodologies and tools.
* Experience with manual and automated testing tools (e.g. Playwright, Selenium).
* Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Familiarity with Agile and SDLC.
* Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Software testing certification (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
* Experience with REST APIs, SQL/No
SQL databases, and Git is beneficial.
Compensation Range: $110K - $130K
