What will you do?
A day in the life of a Senior Product Manager – Retail and Omnichannel at VF looks a little like this.
The Senior Product Manager – Retail and Omnichannel will lead the strategy, development, and execution of technologies that connect digital and physical retail experiences. This role sits at the intersection of product leadership, retail operations knowledge, and customer experience design—driving the vision for how customers discover, engage, purchase, and receive products across every touchpoint.
The Senior Product Manager – Retail and Omnichannel will own the product roadmap for retail and omnichannel technology capabilities that power seamless customer journeys across stores, e-commerce, mobile applications, marketplaces, and emerging channels. You will partner closely with engineering, UX design, merchandising, supply chain, store operations, and global leadership to build scalable, brand-adaptable solutions that serve multiple brands and geographies.
The ideal candidate brings deep domain expertise in retail and omnichannel technology, a proven track record of delivering complex product initiatives at scale, and the ability to translate business needs into compelling product strategies that drive measurable customer and commercial outcomes.
Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for retail and omnichannel capabilities — including but not limited to POS, inventory visibility, clienteling, ship-from-store, BOPIS/BORIS, endless aisle, unified cart, and mobile applications — balancing customer impact, revenue potential, technical feasibility, and brand-specific needs across multiple brands and regions.
Lead end-to-end cross-functional product delivery in partnership with engineering, UX, QA, and business stakeholders — establishing structured intake processes, quarterly planning cadences, OKR alignment, and governance frameworks to ensure timely execution against roadmap commitments.
Champion a customer-first approach by identifying friction points between digital, mobile, and in-store experiences, and driving initiatives that unify customer profiles to enable personalization, loyalty recognition, and seamless service across every touchpoint.
Drive retail technology innovation by evaluating build-vs-buy decisions, managing vendor and platform partner relationships, and exploring emerging capabilities.
Establish data-driven decision practices by defining KPIs for product adoption, omnichannel conversion, fulfillment efficiency, mobile app engagement, and customer satisfaction — building dashboards and partnering with data teams to ensure robust instrumentation and actionable reporting.
Serve as the primary product leader interfacing with brand teams, regional leaders, retail operations, and store field teams to ensure technology solutions align with local market requirements, associate workflows, and commercial priorities while maintaining a scalable shared-platform approach.
Partner with stakeholders such as merchandising, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure product capabilities support key commercial processes
Execute a stakeholder communication strategy that includes regular roadmap reviews, executive briefings, sprint demos, and cross-functional steering committees — translating complex technical concepts into clear, business-oriented narratives for audiences at all levels.
Coordinate synchronized releases across mobile app platforms (iOS and Android), web, and in-store systems, managing app store submission cycles and ensuring omnichannel rollouts are aligned and timely.
Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous innovation staying ahead of industry trends in retail technology, composable commerce, and customer experience.
