Job Summary
The IT Operations Engineer provides hands‑on operational support for telecom digital platforms, focusing on incident resolution, system monitoring, and automation of support tasks. The role involves troubleshooting across application, API, and database layers while improving operational efficiency through automation, analytics, and continuous monitoring enhancements.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and resolve L2/L3 production incidents across application, API, and database layers
- Monitor system health and respond to alerts using tools like Dynatrace and AWS Cloud Watch
- Perform root‑cause analysis using logs, database queries, and telemetry data
- Execute operational tasks using runbooks and automated workflows
- Develop and support automation scripts for repetitive operational tasks
- Manage Service Now incident lifecycle including triage, updates, and closure
- Collaborate with third‑party vendors and integration systems to resolve issues
- Maintain knowledge base documentation and operational playbooks
- Analyze incident trends and contribute to operational improvement initiatives
- 4–6 years of experience in Application Support or Production Support
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting
- Experience troubleshooting telecom or digital service platforms
- Familiarity with AWS services and monitoring tools
- Experience with Service Now ticketing workflows
- Knowledge of log analysis, API troubleshooting, and data validation
- Exposure to scripting or automation tools
- Knowledge of telecom BSS concepts (Billing, Charging, Subscription Management, Order Management)
- Experience with billing processes such as proration, recurring charges, and usage‑based billing
- Experience handling production issues related to billing discrepancies and subscription errors
- Understanding of order‑to‑cash processes across telecom systems
- Familiarity with promotions, discounts, bundles, and offer configurations
- Knowledge of customer lifecycle, plan migrations, and account management
- Exposure to payment processing and recharge/top‑up flows
