We are seeking a SharePoint Architect to support and evolve our SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 environment. This role focuses on information architecture, governance execution, and solution development, with an emphasis on improving content organization, usability, and compliance.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has grown from SharePoint development or administration into architecture and is looking to expand their impact across governance, automation, and modern workplace solutions.
What You Will Do SharePoint Architecture & Content Strategy- Support the design and enhancement of SharePoint Online information architecture, including site structure, metadata, and content organization
- Help implement taxonomy and metadata standards aligned to business needs
- Participate in content cleanup initiatives, improving content quality and usability
- Improve navigation, search experience, and overall findability of information
- Contribute to site provisioning and lifecycle management standards
- Assist in executing SharePoint governance practices including permissions reviews and site ownership support
- Partner with Security and Compliance teams to implement and maintain Microsoft Purview controls such as:
- Sensitivity labels
- Support reporting and monitoring of governance metrics (permissions, sharing, storage usage)
- Help drive adoption of governance standards and best practices
- Develop and maintain SPFx web parts and extensions using React and Type Script
- Build modern SharePoint pages, templates, and business solutions such as dashboards and team sites
- Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft Graph, Power Automate, and other M365 services
- Support ongoing enhancements and improvements to existing solutions
- Support administration of M365 backup tools (AvePoint or similar)
- Assist with backup monitoring and basic recovery operations
- Help ensure alignment with data retention and business continuity requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience with SharePoint Online or Microsoft 365
- 2+ years of hands‑on SPFx development (React, Type Script)
- Strong understanding of SharePoint site architecture, metadata, and content management
- Experience with Microsoft Purview fundamentals (DLP, retention, sensitivity labels)
- Familiarity with Power Shell or automation tools for SharePoint administration
- Experience working with business stakeholders and technical teams
- Experience supporting governance or compliance initiatives in M365
- Exposure to automation frameworks such as PnP Power Shell
- Interest in emerging capabilities like Microsoft Copilot or AI‑powered search
- You are hands‑on and enjoy building as much as designing
- You are detail‑oriented and focused on improving user experience
- You collaborate well across teams and communicate clearly
- You are eager to grow into a more senior architecture role over time
