Our client is seeking a Part-Time Power BI Consultant to support a high-impact business intelligence initiative in Denver, Colorado. This Part-Time Power BI Consultant will design and develop executive-level dashboards that provide visibility into sales performance, year-over-year trends, accounts receivable, forecasting, and other key business metrics.
Working closely with the COO, IT Manager, and leadership team, the Part-Time Power BI Consultant will gather reporting requirements, build Power BI dashboards, and transform complex data into meaningful insights that support strategic business decisions.
ResponsibilitiesThe Part-Time Power BI Consultant will:
- Design and develop Power BI dashboards from concept through deployment
- Build executive reporting covering sales performance, year-over-year analysis, forecasting, accounts receivable, and key operational metrics
- Gather and translate business requirements from leadership into actionable dashboards and visualizations
- Extract, analyze, and visualize data from Blue Cherry ERP, Microsoft Dynamics, SQL databases, and other business systems
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all reporting and dashboard outputs
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and overall business intelligence capabilities
- Train end users and stakeholders on dashboard functionality and reporting tools
- Provide recommendations for future reporting enhancements and system efficiencies
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, Business Intelligence Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role
- Demonstrated experience building Power BI dashboards and executive reporting solutions
- Strong SQL skills and data reporting experience
- Experience gathering requirements and translating them into reporting tools and dashboards
- Ability to work independently and manage project deliverables effectively
- Must be able to provide examples of prior Power BI dashboard projects and reporting work
- Candidates should be prepared to present screenshots, portfolio samples, case studies, or demonstrations during the interview process
- Experience building executive dashboards, financial reporting dashboards, sales analytics, operational reporting, and ERP-integrated Power BI solutions strongly preferred
- Blue Cherry ERP experience
- Microsoft Dynamics experience
- Retail, wholesale, manufacturing, apparel, or distribution industry experience
- Previous consulting or project-based experience
