Our client is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their team! This position is located Hybrid in Denver, Colorado.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in using AI solutions to enhance effectiveness and outcomes, and will be contributing to building, fine tuning, and deploying an NLP/AI pipeline to process live data. This team is actively hiring multiple roles and motivated to move quickly!
Core Responsibilities- Perform technical analysis focused on NLP components and real-time transcription use cases
- Finetune and adapt LLMs for live customer data while ensuring performance, privacy, and latency requirements
- Collaborate with Data Analysts to translate ideas into actionable data products and features
- Develop and evaluate prompts, guidance, and retrieval strategies for the AI model
- Build and validate end-to-end workflows for processing streaming call data, extracting insights, and surfacing Next Best Offers to agents
- Ensure model outputs are interpretable, controllable, and explainable to stakeholders
- Document methodologies, results, and trade-offs; present findings clearly to non-technical partners
- Strong understanding of NLP techniques and language modeling concepts
- Experience with fine-tuning LLMs and prompt-based workflows
- Experience with text processing and string operations in Python
- Experience or interest in real-time/streaming data processing is beneficial
- Proficient in Python; strong SQL skills
- Experience with NLP libraries (e.g., spaCy, transformers) and familiarity with large-scale text data
- Comfortable with machine learning experimentation, model evaluation, and ablation studies
- Experience with or openness to K-Means Clustering, SVM as part of broader ML toolkit; emphasis on text-based modeling
- Ability to explain end-to-end processes, trade-offs, and results to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable walking through code and methodology
- Demonstrated project experience (internships, coursework, capstones) in NLP/AI, especially applied to real-time or business contexts
- Experience with Databricks is a plus but not required
- Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus
- Prompt engineering experience is a huge plus
- Experience with spaCy is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with Databricks or other big data platforms is a plus
- Pay Range:
The approximate pay range for this position is between $122,000 - $135,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums. - Hybrid (4 days onsite; 1 day remote)
