Senior Engagement Manager, AWS ProServe

Description

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (Pro Serve) team is seeking a highly skilled Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. You will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions, bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate technical discussions, and ensure alignment with customer outcomes. You will apply AWS frameworks such as the Well‑Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework, distill customer needs into clear technical requirements, decompose complex problems, and make informed trade‑off decisions considering performance, scalability, security, and business impact.

• Lead and manage complex cloud migration and implementation projects.
• Leverage comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning.
• Bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate engineering discussions, and ensure alignment with customer business outcomes.
• Distill customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes.
• Decompose complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions.
• Contribute to technical documentation and define documentation standards.

• 5+ years of cloud computing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• 2+ years of leading multiple Agile teams (Scrum Masters, Product Owners) concurrently or at scale.
• 5+ years of leading and delivering enterprise-level IT engagements.
• Experience managing technical programs.

• 5+ years of delivering customer engagements in a professional services role.
• Active project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI‑ACP, PRINCE2).
• AWS certification.
• Experience with Agile and project management tools such as Jira, Rally, Version One, or Taiga.
• Experience presenting to C‑level executives and business leaders.
