Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the leading cloud provider, offering virtualized infrastructure, storage, networking, messaging, and many other services worldwide. The AWS Global Sales Compensation (GSC) Operations team seeks a Sales Compensation Systems Analyst to support the day‑to‑day administration of the Varicent ICM sales compensation system for sales incentive‑eligible employees globally. The position drives operational process improvements in compensation, quota management, compensation adjustments, quarterly payouts, and the scalability of program tools.
Key Responsibilities- Validate data, quantify impact through data analysis, and communicate proposed resolutions and timelines to leadership.
- Identify operational risks and engage necessary stakeholders to frame issues and desired end states.
- Communicate effectively with technical teams on root causes of issues and business requirements.
- Perform UAT for process and system updates.
- Assist with the distribution of incentive compensation plans, including plan set up, quota shifts, revenue adjustments, etc.
- Ensure all compensation methodologies, policies, procedures, and governance are followed.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including HR, Tax, and Legal to maintain compensation methodologies, policies, and procedures in production.
- Support the global quarterly commission payout process, including manual compensation adjustments, calculations, and approval process.
- Create mechanisms to improve process efficiency.
- Strong Excel and SQL skills preferred.
- 4+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze large data sets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience using sales CRM tools such as Salesforce.
- Experience working in a sales organization and with sales data, processes, policies, etc.
- Experience developing and implementing systems and tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, sales force automation, or equivalent.
- Experience working within a high‑growth, technology company.
- 3+ years of finance, business management, and sales operations experience.
Base salary range: 68,000.00 – USD annually (varies by location).
