Pay Rate$35/hr on W2 (without benefits)
Job SummaryResponsible for maximizing the business value of IT assets, including hardware and/or software. Ensures compliance with internal policies and external requirements while optimizing asset utilization and managing risks. Supports end-to-end IT asset lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, tracking, and retirement.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
- Experience in IT asset management, procurement, lifecycle management, or similar roles.
- Experience managing hardware and/or software asset lifecycle processes.
- Experience implementing or improving asset management processes in enterprise environments.
- Experience working with asset tracking systems, audits, or optimization initiatives.
- Develop and maintain IT asset management (ITAM) processes, policies, and standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets, including regular audits and reconciliations.
- Manage asset lifecycle activities such as procurement, deployment, upgrades, transfers, and disposal.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing, warranties, and vendor agreements.
- Support cost optimization through asset utilization tracking and process improvements.
- Monitor lifecycle events such as renewals, warranties, and end-of-life planning.
- Provide reporting and analytics on asset usage, compliance, and risks.
- Collaborate with IT, procurement, finance, and other stakeholders.
- Act as a subject matter expert for IT asset management practices.
- Manage vendor relationships and support contract processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Provide training and guidance on asset management tools and best practices.
- Ensure proper data security and compliance during asset disposal or decommissioning.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Knowledge of IT asset lifecycle management (hardware and/or software).
- Understanding of software licensing and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with asset management tools and systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
- IT Asset Management certifications such as CSAM, CHAMP, or CITAM are a plus.
