About This Position:

The purpose of this position is to oversee the maintenance of, and content additions to, BHA's public-facing website and will share the responsibility of maintaining BHA's internal intranet, along with other digital products, on an as-needed basis. This position also guides and directs how to improve navigation and web page templates, as well as how to make all content on the BHA website and intranet accessible to all individuals using the sites.

Description of Job:

Website Content Management

* Develops and maintains the website content strategy to ensure it aligns with BHA organizational goals.

* Has experience and knowledge managing a website that is Drupal based.

* Manages internal website form inquiries and content from BHA teams and departments from start to finish in an Asana-based project management system.

* Works with the team to ensure a consistent voice, tone, and style across the website.

* Ensures proper online messaging and relevancy; audits and updates department website.

* Researches best practices and determines and recommends strategies and efforts to ensure complex content on site is written in plain language, digitally accessible, and user-friendly.

* Optimizes content for search engines, including keywords, internal linking, and meta data and performs regular audits for website maintenance.

* Uses tools such as Siteimprove to create a high-performing and an accessible website, ensuring all legal standards are met.

* Has basic HTML knowledge to make adjustments on the website as needed.

* Manages and coordinates all communication with the state's development and technology partner, Tyler Technologies.

* Supports site refreshes and redesigns on an as-needed basis.

BHA Staff Hub Intranet

* Works in collaboration with the Internal Communications Specialist to update and maintain information on the agency's intranet.

* Maintains up-to-date information and content on the intranet that aligns with organizational priorities and internal policies and procedures.

* Manages ongoing, monthly, and quarterly publishing of content and updates.

* Maintains and improves usability through clear navigation and page layouts.

* Incorporates employee feedback to enhance the user experience.

* Monitors intranet usage and content performance.

* Fixes broken links and outdated references to maintain content quality.

* Publishes urgent notices, leadership messages, and operational updates.

Digital Accessibility Leadership, Support, and Implementation

* Works with the BHA Communications Unit staff, BHA Colorado for ALL team, and additional internal staff to develop and implement a strategic, ongoing plan for the digital accessibility and usability of the BHA website.

* Supports BHA's collaboration with the CDHS and Office of Information Technology accessibility teams.

* Provides support to all BHA divisions by reviewing, editing, and updating the website and other digital content to meet current Website Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) digital accessibility standards and digital accessibility best practices.

* Assists with posting and updating web content that has been translated into languages other than English; identifies solutions to expand access to information and resources for customers with limited English proficiency.

* Provides general oversight of the Siteimprove platform. This includes reviewing and remedying all web issues under each metric in Siteimprove and increasing scores for those metrics: digital accessibility, digital certainty index, quality assurance, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

* Coordinates with BHA's website technology partner, Tyler Technologies, on an as-needed basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience Only:

Six (6) years of relevant professional experience in:

* Website content management

* Digital communications

* Web publishing or editing

* Drupal content administration

* Experience with accessibility and compliance

* Ability to work with program staff across departments

* Strong, demonstrable skills with:

* Writing, editing, proofreading for the web (clear, concise, accessible)

* Authoring and publishing content

* Setting up basic layouts and blocks

* Managing website menus

* Uploading media

* SEO basics for government websites

* Basic HTML knowledge

OR

Education and Experience:

A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned as stated above equal to six (6) years.

Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas or equivalent experience:
