Role Summary
Senior Associates in Huron’s Workday Adaptive Planning practice serve as client‑facing advisors and leaders responsible for driving key components of financial planning and analysis transformation projects. In this role, you will own work streams, collaborate directly with finance, accounting, and information technology stakeholders, and translate complex business requirements into scalable Workday Adaptive Planning models, reports, and workflows. You will guide clients through the full implementation lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design to configuration, testing, deployment, and post‑go‑live support.
CoreResponsibilities Client Advisory & Insights
- Advise clients on planning best practices, model design, performance optimization, and business process improvements.
- Interpret planning outputs and financial signals to support improved decision‑making.
- Help clients navigate scope ambiguity and evolving requirements, offering informed recommendations and project governance.
- Conduct structured requirements‑gathering sessions to assess planning, forecasting, and reporting needs.
- Manage full project lifecycle activities including scoping, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post‑go‑live stabilization.
- Deliver clear, client‑ready communications that articulate risks, actions, issues and decisions/recommendations.
- Translate complex financial and operational requirements into scalable Adaptive Planning models across financial, operational, and workforce planning domains.
- Configure core Workday Adaptive Planning structures including dimensions, levels, accounts, versions, and sheets.
- Build web reports, dashboard visualizations, and complex Office Connect reporting solutions.
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing cycles including unit, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Validate data accuracy, integration flows, and model outputs to ensure planning reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in collaboration with internal and client teams.
- Mentor Analysts and Associate‑level team members, supporting their development and growth as a consultant.
- Collaborate with integration specialists and engagement leadership to support cohesive solution delivery.
- Contribute to internal knowledge development and practice growth initiatives.
- 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or Tier‑1 planning tools (Anaplan, One Stream, Oracle EPM Planning/PBCS/EPBCS/FCCS).
- Experience leading project work streams including requirements, design, configuration, testing, and client communication.
- Strong financial and operational driver‑based model‑building skills across forecasting, budgeting, and long‑range planning.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, and structured modeling concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to engage senior‑level business stakeholders.
- Prior consulting experience, either in professional services or performing consultative work internally.
- Workday Adaptive Planning Certifications, such as Adaptive Planning Pro or Adaptive Planning Core.
- Experience integrating with Workday Financials or Workday Human Capital Management.
- Experience with planning integrations, ETL processes, or data transformation pipelines.

- Travel Requirements:
Up to 50%, depending on client engagements. - Location:
Open to candidates in Canada. - Work Authorization:
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
Salary varies based on experience and participates in Huron’s performance‑based incentive program. The estimated base salary range for this job is $115,000 - $145,000. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $128,800 - $166,700. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
