The KSE Information Technology (IT) Department provides a broad range of technology services supporting operations at the enterprise, business unit, department, event, and project levels within the company. The IT department focuses on building and maintaining a reliable and secure technology infrastructure while delivering quality services that are prompt, cost effective, and reliable.

Nature of Work:

Provides support for PC hardware, software, and network connectivity for end-users and supports technical operations for events at KSE venues.

Examples of work performed:
  • Support the IT team in maintaining hardware, software, and other systems
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support over the phone and in person
  • Organize and maintain IT resources
  • Pickup, deliver, and move IT equipment from office areas
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Keeps abreast of new PC software and hardware product developments through self-study, technical conferences, courses and/or seminars
  • Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
  • Typical Office Conditions
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Lift, bend, place, maneuver as necessary to deploy computing equipment
  • Work event schedules as necessary
  • All Colorado Interns are required to attend all KSE Internship Program hosted events that occur during business hours. If unable to attend due to work, school or unforeseen circumstance, the Intern must inform the Internship Program Committee.
  • All Interns are required to participate in the KSE Mentorship Program by meeting with assigned Mentor in person or virtually at least for the initial meet-up
Qualifications
  • Minimum
    • High school diploma or GED, required
    • Currently enrolled in a (4-year) undergraduate or graduate degree program
    • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Preferred
    • Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, Math, or similar major.
Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proficient in the use of computers and laptops running the Windows operating system.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of computer components and technical terms.
  • Basic understanding of computer networks including connecting to and using WiFi networks.
  • Good analytical skills for troubleshooting computer problems.
  • Good communications skills for working with a wide variety of end users
  • Excellent organizational skills for creating priorities, documenting problems and solutions, following detailed instructions.
Compensation
  • Base hourly rate of $19.29 per hour
