Information Security Analyst

Job Title: Information Security Analyst

Location: Denver, Colorado

Pay Range: $60-65 per hour, based on experience

• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events within the SOC using Security Event and Incident Management (SEIM) platforms.
• Perform cyber incident triage to determine scope, urgency, and potential impact for each alert.
• Coordinate containment and remediation efforts following established procedures or industry standards.
• Review industry-relevant cyber alerts from sources such as US-CERT and A-ISAC to proactively identify threats on the network.
• Document response procedures and contribute to the development of best practices for cybersecurity incident handling.

• Understanding of basic networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, DNS, and related protocols.
• Experience with security tools such as Microsoft Azure, EntraID, Sentinel, Defender, and Crowdstrike or similar EDR platforms.
• At least 2 years of experience working as a SOC Analyst or in a cybersecurity incident response role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret security alerts and technical data.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively relay technical information to non-technical audiences.
