The following position is jointly employed by Torch Technologies, a 100% employee‑owned company serving the Federal Government and Department of War.
Job TitleDTS Sim Stim Linux Systems Operator
Responsibilities- Coordinating configuration of the Sim Stim system for Warfighter training.
- Starting and stopping training events with Warfighters.
- Performing daily activities with DTS teammates operating C2
BMC, GST, MDST, and other internal and external elements, as required. - Recording all operations in an event log and maintaining consistent metrics.
- Loading, configuring, and troubleshooting various Modeling & Simulation components within the DTS Sim/Stim enclave.
- Working closely with a mission‑focused team that plans, conducts, and supports missile defense and space awareness training events.
- Participating in training events that feature Warfighter Operator‑In‑The‑Loop (OITL) participation as a role‑player to promote realism during training.
- Supporting developmental missile defense and space system elements or simulations.
- Adapting to changing situations and overcoming obstacles in support of mission requirements.
- Supporting shift work, including day and night shift operations, as required to meet Warfighter training needs.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Associate Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience AND 0+ years of related experience.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Ability to learn to operate a Linux‑based system.
- Ability to adapt to short‑term deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple organizations using a broad spectrum of tools and to communicate complex concepts, issues, and status to senior contractor and government leadership.
- Ability to support shift work as required.
- Final Secret Security Clearance required to access classified information. Inability to maintain a security clearance will render the candidate ineligible for this position.
- Security+ certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 60 days of hire.
- Knowledge of missile defense and space awareness concepts of operation, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) systems.
- Knowledge of networks, protocols, and RHEL commands to troubleshoot various interfaces within and external to the DTS Sim/Stim enclave.
Day shift operates Monday – Friday from 0800 – 1700 on a 9/80 work schedule. Position requires the ability to support shift work as required.

Salary Range – Colorado$76,000 – $83,000. The salary range information is a general guideline only. Several factors can influence the salary for a position, including but not limited to contract labor categories, wage rates, geographic location, business considerations, scope and responsibilities, market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications.
