Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to join our design team, on-site at your choice of Broomfield, CO;
Chicago, IL; or Peoria, IL. In this role, you will use design processes — including wireframes, prototypes, personas, user research, and journey maps — along with strong design presentation skills, to take digital solutions from concept to market in close collaboration with stakeholders and team members. You will represent the voice of the customer and advocate for user needs while balancing business goals and technical constraints, and contribute to feature design and definition that ensures high-quality design deliverables adhering to established standards.

This role will heavily support mobile design.

Key Contributions & Responsibilities
  • Use design processes and tools — wireframes, prototypes, personas, user research, and journey maps — along with design presentation skills, to take digital solutions from concept to market in collaboration with stakeholders and team members (70% of role).
  • Represent the voice of the customer and advocate for user needs while considering business goals and technical constraints (15% of role).
  • Contribute to the design and definition of features and user research needs to enable project and product delivery, ensuring high-quality design deliverables that adhere to established standards (15% of role).
Team Structure & Work Environment
  • You will collaborate directly with engineering and product teams, alongside a design team of 8 designers and 3 researchers, plus 5 additional team members based in India. You may also have the opportunity to collaborate with other UX professionals across the broader organization on cross-application or app convergence experiences.
  • This is a fully on-site role at the candidate’s choice of Broomfield, CO;
    Chicago, IL; or Peoria, IL. Fully remote candidates will not be considered.
Education & Experience
  • Degree and/or equivalent experience required: 8+ years of User Experience work experience with a relevant degree; or 12+ years of UX work experience without a degree; or a UX certification (such as HFI or General Assembly) plus 8+ years of UX work experience.
  • A link to the candidate’s design portfolio is required on the resume.
Required Technical Skills
  • Expert-level Figma skills, including Figma Make; stays current with the latest Figma features and knows how and when to apply them. Demonstrates excellent Figma file hygiene and technical knowledge.
  • Proficiency creating low, mid, and high-fidelity visuals and interactive prototypes.
  • Experience building information architecture (IA) flows and other experience flow diagrams.
  • Strong experience with native and responsive mobile app design; candidates with extensive mobile design experience and an interest in continuing to specialize in mobile are strongly preferred.
Desired Technical Skills
  • Experience designing for enterprise applications specifically.
  • Background as a UX generalist rather than a narrow specialist.
  • Knowledge or experience in equipment management or an adjacent industry such as airlines, mapping applications, oil & gas, or fintech.
Required Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and drives work forward independently.
  • Strong collaborator who is comfortable jumping in, speaking up, and contributing while still learning new aspects of the product or domain.

Compensation: $115,000 - $120,000 per year
