We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our client’s Division of Information Technology Services. In this role, you will play a critical part in developing and establishing robust quality assurance standards and measures. Working within dynamic project teams, you will ensure the highest quality testing for both in-house developed applications and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement QA standards and testing strategies throughout the full software development lifecycle.
- Translate business and functional requirements into comprehensive test plans, cases, and scenarios.
- Execute end-to-end testing, including system, regression, and load testing to ensure applications meet business and end-user requirements.
- Analyze test results to identify and resolve defects, bugs, and configuration issues.
- Collaborate with software engineers to promote quality coding standards and perform peer reviews of testing efforts.
- Identify opportunities for automation and utilize appropriate tools to automate integration and user interface tests.
- Provide advanced Tier III support to customers and document knowledge within the IT Service Management (ITSM) system.
- Report on test progress and outcomes to project stakeholders and management to facilitate informed release decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of three years of relevant quality assurance or automated testing experience.
- Note:
Candidates with three years of experience as a Business Analyst or Software Engineer in a relevant public sector environment will also be considered. Additional professional experience may be substituted for formal education on a year‑for‑year basis.
