Architect level experience, Wi-Fi, 802.11, iPV4/6, DHCP, Wi-Fi Engineer background, Deployed large scale Wi-Fi solutions for Enterprise. Virtualization experience (VMWare vSphere 6/7 preferred) Wi-Fi Architecture Deep understanding of 802.11 Wi-Fi protocols. Can explain evolution of Wi-Fi (4, 5, 6, 6E, and
7) Deployed large scale Wi-Fi solutions for Enterprise, Muni, or Service Provider Familiar with Cisco WLC, Cisco 9800 (XR), Meraki, Mist, and/or Ruckus (at least deep knowledge of one vendor)

Description:

Seeking a technologist with an extensive Wi-Fi networking background to take on a Wi-Fi architect role. This position will focus owning architecture and road map for Out of Home Wi-Fi. Out of Home Wi-Fi is defined as Wi-Fi access points deployed in high density areas enabling Mobile Wi-Fi offload outside of the customer’s home. The day-to-day life will be developing Wi-Fi Road maps, investigating new product introduction, deploying new Wi-Fi software release packages with fellow engineers, and providing technical guidance for high priority defects identified in testing environments.

Weekly collaboration with vendors and internal teams will be required to keep the road map aligned and on track. The ideal candidate will have a significant Wi-Fi and network engineering background. Industry Wi-Fi certifications are preferred.
