WiFi Engineer
Seeking a technologist with a WiFi networking background to take on a WiFi engineer role. This position will focus on providing engineering talent to support Client Out of Home WiFi. Out of Home WiFi is defined as Client WiFi access points deployed in high density areas enabling Client Mobile WiFi offload outside of the customers home. The day to day life will be investigating new product introduction, deploying new WiFi software release packages with fellow engineers, and providing technical guidance for high priority defects identified in testing environments.
Weekly collaboration with vendors and internal teams will be required to keep the road map aligned and on track.
Network Engineering (CCNA level) IPv4 IPv6 NAT DHCP Packet Captures Systems Administration Linux experience Virtualization experience (VMWare vSphere 6/7 preferred) WiFi Architecture
Deep understanding of 802.11 WiFi protocols Can explain evolution of WiFi (4, 5, 6, 6E, and
7) Deployed large scale WiFi solutions for Enterprise, Muni, or Service Provider Familiar with Cisco WLC, Cisco 9800 (XR), Meraki, Mist, and / or Ruckus (at least deep knowledge of one vendor) Can proficiently document architectural designs involving WiFi and Network Engineering concepts Understanding of AP call home process (controller or cloud discovery features based on DHCP, DNS, etc)

Someone strong on Wifi - The ideal candidate will have a significant WiFi and network engineering background. Industry WiFi certifications are preferred.
