Position Overview
As a Security Testing Specialist Sr within PNC's Technology Security organization, you will be based in Denver, CO or Phoenix, AZ. This role is for an experienced application security tester who performs security testing and ethical hacking of web and mobile applications to discover vulnerabilities. The testing window is 3-to‑4 days, and you will work Tuesday‑Saturday 3:00PM–11:00PM (MST Denver local).
Responsibilities- Execute security testing and ethical hacks of web and mobile applications to discover vulnerabilities.
- Perform both manual and automated dynamic security testing that identifies OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
- Utilize Agentic AI solutions for dynamic security testing.
- Review testing results with stakeholders and help determine risk ratings.
- Develop new techniques and processes that identify application vulnerabilities.
- Assist in design and implementation of security solutions and continuously enhance information security approaches and methodologies at manager discretion.
- 5+ years of industry‑relevant experience in application security testing.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
- Strong understanding of attack methodologies and the OWASP Top
10 Web Application Security Risks. - Experience with Burp Suite, manual application security testing methods, and automated dynamic application testing tools.
- Experience in cloud environments (preferred).
- Strong analytical thinking, effective communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- API Security Testing knowledge.
- Experience with Agentic AI solutions for dynamic security testing.
- Experience in cloud environments.
- Base salary range: $ – $; incentive eligible based on company and individual performance.
