Sr. Solutions Architect, Storage, WW Storage Specialists

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced Storage Solutions Architect to guide our customers on data storage best practices and to help shape the future growth of our storage services. As a storage Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be an authority on architectures that leverage AWS services to increase availability and drive down costs for our customers.

In this role, you will partner closely with the Storage Business Development and Sales teams to enable large‑scale customer use cases and to help drive the adoption of AWS storage services. Thought leadership plays an important part as you look for new ways to maximize value for customers by establishing best practices and proposing enhancements and features for our storage services.

You will be called upon frequently to present to customers and other AWS teams and will create field enablement materials for the broader SA population.

This role may require domestic travel of up to 25%–50%.

• Enable the AWS SA community to design cost‑optimized, secure, scalable storage architectures
• Help AWS customers adopt well‑architected storage solutions
• Build technical trusted advisor relationships with internal and external customers
• Refine best practices around storage services and solutions
• Influence service roadmaps by identifying customer trends
• Work with service teams on the launch of new feature services

The team consists of storage experts who focus on selected services of the AWS Storage service portfolio.

• 6+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures

• Experience working with end‑user or developer communities
• Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional, or Cloud Dev Ops Engineering)
• Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base, and industry verticals
