Senior Solutions Architect, Retail, Restaurant, Consumer Packaging - Greenfield

Job Description

The Solutions Architect engages with customers to understand their business drivers, assess application portfolios, design secure, reliable and cost-effective cloud native architectures. As an Enterprise Solutions Architect, you will partner with customers, AWS Sales and other AWS teams to create solutions that address customer business problems and accelerate adoption of AWS services. In collaboration with sales, you will drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers.

In this role, you will shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS within large enterprises. Broad responsibilities will include owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects, working cross‑organizationally to facilitate widespread use and adoption of the AWS platform, and developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know‑how around how applications and services are constructed on AWS.

• 8+ years of specific technology domain experience (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
• Ability to travel, including out of state, up to 20% of the time

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
• Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
• Experience communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients

Base salary ranges: USA, IL, Chicago -  -  USD annually; USA, NY, New York -  -  USD annually; USA, TX, Austin -  -  USD annually; USA, TX, Dallas -  -  USD annually; USA, VA, Arlington -  -  USD annually.

Additional compensation includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). The final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
