Job Overview
Responsible for implementation, support, and maintenance of financial applications. Collaborate with team members, colleagues, and vendor support teams to ensure that the financial systems are operating as designed and desired. Work with IT and F&A staff to ensure interface files are distributed or consumed appropriately. Ensure that IT practices such as testing, change management, and issue tracking are executed appropriately.
Responsibilities- Utilize troubleshooting skills to identify issues, analyze options, and provide or suggest solutions that will provide the best solution for the company.
- Act as the key point of contact for financial application support issues.
- Communicate with SCI end users, contractors, and vendors to troubleshoot issues with financial systems.
- Perform, execute, and monitor appropriate audit controls as appropriate.
- Participate in new system upgrades, including learning, documentation, testing, functional/technical review, or creation and execution of upgrades (or patches).
- Prepare reports, perform analysis, and evaluate opportunities for providing a more stable environment for the appropriate financial system.
- Assist in identifying best practices through a review of processes.
- Establish and maintain relationships with various departments.
- Escalate obstacles/issues to meeting timelines and deliverables.
- Report project status according to prescribed timelines for a given project.
- Monitor interface emails, interface results, or reports to ensure that interface files are distributed or consumed as per design.
- Communicate or serve as the primary liaison on behalf of the team to vendor or business community members to ensure interfaces operate effectively.
- Serve as the primary liaison with IT interface teams to troubleshoot or monitor interface execution and performance as appropriate.
- Monitor and manage issue tracking, user requests, or interfaces to troubleshoot issues surrounding user management.
- Create users and roles as desired while following strict guidelines for user management.
- Perform SOX controls or necessary reporting on a scheduled basis to ensure company policies and procedures are followed appropriately.
- Assist with system enhancement projects as needed.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a directly related field. - Experience:
Three (3) years in a functional analyst, technical analyst, business analyst, or similar role. - Financial/Accounting experience or knowledge: 6 months.
- Some experience with Oracle (ERP and/or EPM) a plus.
- Communicates effectively in both written and oral forms.
- Knowledge of operational business processes and systems.
- Proficient in various software programs, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated knowledge of process improvement.
- Good leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of management, end-users, and peers.
- Basic understanding of databases and standard file layouts for conversions and interfaces.
