The Analytics team leads the delivery of AWS cloud analytics services to our customers. This team focuses on expanding analytics services across AWS regions, driving automation investments, and providing scalable data solutions. By innovating massively scalable distributed systems, the team puts the next generation of cloud analytics into customers’ hands with services such as Amazon EMR, Amazon Athena, and Amazon Redshift.

- Apply strong Linux and networking fundamentals and experience with large‑scale, distributed environments.
- Solve complex technical problems related to AWS service builds and operations in air‑gapped cloud environments, with a solid understanding of systems design, operations, automation, and process improvement.
- Lead the resolution of technical issues and drive customer experience improvements.
- Build solutions across many regions and systems, constantly improving and streamlining processes to enable massive scale.
As a Systems Development Engineer II in Analytics, you build innovative solutions, expand services into Gov Cloud regions, and improve operations to provide resilience and the best experience for customers. You influence technical strategy and architectural decisions, collaborate with partner teams, and make data‑driven decisions. Your responsibilities include ticket resolution, infrastructure improvements, and adherence to company standard (Bias for Action, Invent and Simplify, Insist on the Highest Standards, and Deliver Results).
RoleTasks
- Work cross‑functionally to reconcile differing viewpoints and lead the resolution of contentious issues.
- Code in Java, Python, or other modern languages, using appropriate development methodologies.
- Build and deploy solutions across thousands of devices, improving and streamlining processes for large‑scale operations.
- Bachelor’s degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
- At least 2 years of designing or architecting new and existing systems with a focus on design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 2 years of administrative experience in networking, storage, operating systems, and hands‑on systems engineering.
- Experience programming in at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Go, Power Shell, or Ruby.
- Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with polygraph.
- Experience with distributed systems at scale.
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.

Benefits and CompensationThe base salary range for this position is $ – $ USD annually, located in Denver, Colorado.
