AWS is looking for experienced and motivated technologists who possess a unique balance of technical depth, strong interpersonal skills, and a strategic engagement approach.
As a Senior Solutions Architect within the AWS WWPS Partner team, you will help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of AWS services, including advanced analytics, AI/ML, and healthcare‑specific solutions, directly with our ecosystem of healthcare‑focused systems integrators, consulting and technology partners. You will serve as the dedicated technical resource for a portfolio of healthcare‑focused partners, owning the technical relationship and leading architecture and delivery enablement at the executive level with minimal oversight.
Your responsibilities will include: owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around healthcare implementation projects; defining implementation architectures across compute, data, and machine learning for clinical and administrative workloads; and being a subject matter expert on security and compliance as it relates to healthcare customer applications and services.
You will drive architectural decisions across multiple concurrent healthcare work streams and ensure AWS is positioned as the strategic infrastructure partner of choice for healthcare providers during critical digital transformation periods. This role requires the ability to operate independently, communicate credibly with both technical and executive stakeholders, and maintain momentum across complex, multi‑domain engagements.
This position may require up to 30% travel.
Key Job Responsibilities- Enable healthcare‑focused SI partners to deliver clinical and administrative workload migrations and modernizations on AWS through architecture reviews, hands‑on enablement, and guiding through delivery challenges
- Build working prototypes, proofs of concept, and technical demonstrations that validate architectural decisions and accelerate customer adoption within timeboxed engagements
- Lead technical strategy and architecture for healthcare partner engagements spanning EHR systems, clinical analytics, interoperability platforms, and AI/ML applications
- Own end‑to‑end solution architecture spanning compute, data, and ML for healthcare workloads
- Operate as a trusted advisor at the executive level, translating healthcare business objectives into AWS‑native architectures
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to transfer knowledge to customers and partners using or evaluating AWS for healthcare workloads
- Capture and share best‑practice knowledge within the AWS Solutions Architect community through whitepapers, reference architectures, and reusable content
- Collaborate with sales and business development teams to drive partner success and grow AWS healthcare adoption
- Identify gaps in AWS products and services relevant to healthcare, gather customer feedback, and translate it into clear requirements for product and engineering teams
- Serve as technical liaison between customers, partners, service engineering teams, and support to resolve complex technical problems
- Experience communicating across technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- 7+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Hands‑on experience with Epic EHR systems, including architecture, deployment, or operational support of Epic environments (production, alternate production, integrated real‑time (IRE), or disaster recovery)
