We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Manager to perform multiple IT functions for a small professional company. You will be responsible for maintaining secure, stable, and efficient technology operations, aligning our technology roadmap with overarching business objectives. You will serve as the bridge between internal stakeholders and external engineering teams and vendors to ensure seamless, secure, and compliant data flow between disparate systems.

This is a newly created position perfect for a qualified candidate with a wide range of IT experience and innovative ideas.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Analysis & Design: Evaluate existing legacy systems and processes to identify areas for automation, improvement, or replacement.
  • Integration Design: Develop, manage and maintain interfaces (APIs, web services, file transfers, ETL/ELT) using enterprise middleware or scripting tools.
  • System Support: Provide technical support, troubleshoot transmission errors, and monitor log files to ensure timely resolution of interface-related issues.
  • Data Management: Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses. Define, develop, and manage data flows.
  • Project Management: Plan and direct major IT initiatives, such as system migrations, data warehouse development, and software deployments, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Requirements Gathering: Elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive business and functional requirements using interviews, workshops, and use cases.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between the business and technical teams, translating complex technical concepts into business-friendly language and managing expectations.
  • Testing, Validation & Quality Assurance: Lead with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with respective work units and validate that delivered IT solutions meet the specified requirements and quality standards.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Collaborate with Analytics Manager on ensuring systems support comprehensive reporting and analysis requirements.
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure data transfers conform to regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA) and industry protocols like HL7.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to manage deployment timelines and provide operational checklists.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a closely related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in IT business analysis and project management.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, operating systems, networking, cloud environments, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of integration protocols (SFTP, REST/SOAP APIs, Web services).
  • Familiarity with database querying and scripting languages (SQL, Python, or Powershell).
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional critical thinking, analytical problem-solving, process mapping, stakeholder communication, and project management skills.
Preferred, but not required, qualifications
  • Professional certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or CCBA (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis) from the IIBA, CompTIA Network+/Security+, ITIL, PMP (Project Management Professional), or CISSP
  • Hands‑on experience with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) application integration.
  • Hands‑on experience with Data Analysis & Reporting:
    Develop reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor system performance and support business decision‑making.
