Automation Specialist
Pax8 is hiring an Automation Specialist across the United States, Philippines and United Kingdom to design, build and scale AI-powered workflows that make work simpler, smarter and more impactful.
This is a hands-on builder role for someone who spots repetitive work, process friction and manual handoffs — then turns those opportunities into practical, scalable automation.
You'll join Pax8 at an exciting point in our AI journey, where new technology is changing how teams work, collaborate and create value. In this role, you'll grow alongside that technology, helping shape what good automation looks like across our business while giving teams more time to focus on the work that really matters.
You won't need to be a software engineer, but you will need curiosity, practical problem-solving, functional expertise and the confidence to build, test, improve and scale solutions that people genuinely use.
At Pax8, we're building the managed intelligence marketplace and helping small businesses do more with smarter technology. We're passionate, creative and a little unconventional — we work hard, keep things human and believe that technology should unlock potential, not create complexity.
You can learn more about our journey through Pax8 and our people and explore the Pax8 Marketplace to see how we're helping partners and small businesses grow.
As our Automation Specialist, you'll be close to the work, the people doing it and the systems that support it. Your focus will be turning workflow challenges into practical automation that creates measurable value.
Build smart workflows You'll explore how teams work today, identify high-impact automation opportunities and build no-code or low-code workflows using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, n8n, Service Now, Workday configuration, Zapier or Airtable automations.
Use AI where it adds real value You'll configure AI-enabled solutions for repetitive tasks such as request routing, data extraction, summarisation, knowledge retrieval and standard responses — while knowing when a structured automation is the better answer.
Connect systems and reduce manual handoffs You'll help information move more smoothly between platforms so teams spend less time copying, chasing and checking, and more time making progress.
Test, learn and improve You'll build with real users in mind, gathering feedback, improving workflows and making sure automations are easy to follow, reliable and sustainable.
Measure what matters You'll track adoption, identify where processes break down and show the value created through time saved, fewer errors, better consistency and improved experience.
Redesign work thoughtfully You'll look beyond speed alone, helping teams understand what should be automated, what should stay human-owned and how roles, approvals and decisions may need to shift as workflows improve.
Collaborate across functions You'll partner with functional teams, system owners and Workflow Engineering when more complex technical builds are needed.
Create reusable playbooks You'll document what works, build templates, define standards and share learning with other Automation Specialists so great ideas can scale across Pax
8.
Your work will help automation and AI become a natural, well-governed part of how Pax8 operates. The workflows you build will reduce manual burden, improve quality, support better decision-making and create more capacity for teams to focus on higher-value work.
This is a role where the impact is visible. You'll help shape standards, influence adoption and contribute to a smarter operating model across a global technology business.
