Systems Administrator, Database Administrator
Join SYNCADD’s GIS Team and help support a DoD client’s Enterprise GIS mission. In this role, you’ll administer and support a geospatial platform built on Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, enterprise geodatabases, web services, user access, and related infrastructure. You’ll keep the portals healthy through active monitoring and maintenance, help ensure GIS data submissions meet quality standards, and use scripts and models to make data workflows faster and easier for everyone who depends on them.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Partner with the technical lead on enterprise GIS monitoring and services.
- Keep an eye on system performance and make sure standards are consistently met.
- Dig into GIS web service performance issues — troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve them.
- Put existing and new instances of enterprise GIS systems through their paces.
- Carry out installs and upgrades across the enterprise systems.
- Administer AWS Work Spaces.
- Keep the ArcGIS Enterprise environments up, stable, and performing well.
- Handle Active Directory administration and user account management.
- Support PostgreSQL geodatabase maintenance and connection management.
- Own the GIS Request Management ticketing system from intake and triage through tracking and resolution.
- Keep system and administrative documentation clear, current, and useful.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with ArcGIS
- 1+ years installing and configuring ArcGIS Server and Portal for ArcGIS on Linux
- 1+ years administering Portal for ArcGIS
- 1+ years working with ArcGIS Monitor
- Experience with ArcGIS Web Service and Web App Builder development
- Comfort with Python scripting
- Working knowledge of RDBMS geodatabases

- SDSFIE standards
